Hudson’s Bay, North America's oldest retailer, partnered with Bastian Solutions to develop an order fulfillment center capable of competing with Internet retail giants such as Amazon.

The 750,000-square-foot facility, located in Scarborough, Toronto, holds the most advanced order fulfillment technology in Canada and has improved operations to give the company a competitive advantage with online shopping.

With the new system in place, Hudson’s Bay fulfills 60,000 to 70,000 customer orders each day with each order processed in as little as 15 minutes, providing customers with faster, more accurate orders. The flexibility and scalability of the robotic, goods-to-person system will also allow Hudson’s Bay to easily accommodate new products and an increasing number of orders as the company grows.
