Increase Heat Efficiency While Reducing Costs in The Warehouse

Stratification not only strains the budgets of DCs and warehouses, it also contributes to occupants’ discomfort.

The following 3 clients all faced heating issues before turning to Big Ass Fans for assistance.

Problem: Chris Odinshaw, Battleford Furniture owner, wanted a new warehouse that was bigger than the store currently needed. More space allowed for growth and improved resale value, but it also created new challenges.

Problem: A Staples Distribution Center in Mississauga, Ontario, used a rooftop gas heating system to keep its 50,000-sq-ft (4645.2-sq-m) warehouse warm in the winter, but the system was expensive and inefficient.

Problem: Maintaining a comfortable temperature in winter is one of the biggest challenges for aviation hangars. With 100-ft (30-m) ceilings and 400-ft (122-m) bay doors, the American Airlines Charlotte line maintenance hangar struggled with heat stratification.
