Vehicle Restraint - The RHR-4000 Dok-Lok

Learn how to help prevent loading dock accidents, save money, and improve productivity.

Rite-Hite created the vehicle restraint industry with the Dok-Lok, a simple yet revolutionary vision.

As trucking and logistics continues to evolve, Rite-Hite is right there in the driver’s seat meeting our customers’ needs worldwide.

Now the emerging global economy is affecting the loading dock. Intermodal, or an overseas container travels to your loading dock on the chassis which could have a cover plate above the rear impact guard.

Only the Dok-Lok rotating hook restraint offers the best protection against all types of trailer separation accidents, including early departure, trailer tip over due to the landing gear collapsed, trailer pop-up, trailer upending, and trailer creep or dock walk.

At Rite-Hite we are always looking ahead. The newest the Dok-Lok rotating hook restraint features the most universal hook design, with the most substantial wrap on a rear impact guard and widest working range. The hook provides holding force in excess of thirty two thousand pounds and the unit adjusts automatically with the trailer float to maintain safe engagement at all times.

If there is a cover plate above the trailer or chassis’ rear impact guard, the shadow hook adds an additional level of safety to maintain safe engagement.

Dok-Lok rotating hook restraints are also designed for impact and to withstand the loading dock environment. Now featuring an enhanced track for even better performance. And the IP 66 rated motor helps prevent dust and water infiltration.

The Dok-Lok rotating hook restraint offers proven durability for long life and minimal maintenance with few moving parts. Based on your application a nine inch or twelve-inch carriage is available with an engagement range that extends up to thirty inches.

Clear communication is just as critical to accident prevention at the loading dock as the actual restraint. The Rite-Vu light communication system sets a new industry standard for loading dock communication and come standard with all Dok-Loks.

The Dok-Lok rotating hook restraint is easy to use, saves time and greatly improves safety. The truck driver sees the outside green light and backs in. With a simple push of a button, the rotating hook wraps up and over the rear impact guard, locking the trailer to the dock and creating a secure continuation of your warehouse floor.

The outside light turns red telling the truck driver not to pull away. The inside lights on the control box in Rite-Vu change to green saying it is safe for the forklift to enter the trailer. When servicing is complete just unlock, the lights change and the trailer is back on the road. There’s no need to risk employee safety out of the dock approach or waste time chocking wheel. Only Rite-Hitei performs a thorough survey of your docks to ensure our restraints are properly applied.

Take it from the experts. Keep control in the hands of the person at risk. Full-time protection full-time communication. The original proven and always improving Dok-Lok.
