The EFX 410/413 Series Features Optional Warehouse Navigation System

Jungheinrich®, provider of lift trucks and narrow-aisle products in the United States, Canada and Mexico, today introduced the next generation of Jungheinrich EFX 410/413 man-down turret trucks.

With a lift height up to 23 feet, the new series of turret trucks can be equipped with Jungheinrich’s optional Warehouse Navigation System, featuring Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology. This new technology can provide customers with an up to 25 percent increase in productivity, depending on the specific application.

Capable of handling load capacities from 2,200 to 2,700 pounds, the EFX 410/413 series provides excellent performance and flexibility in very-narrow-aisle warehouses.

These man-down turret trucks, the only series of its kind offered in North America, also feature the latest generation of Jungheinrich’s 3-phase AC drive technology for increased energy efficiency and optimal performance.

“We are excited to offer the new Jungheinrich RFID technology on the EFX 410/413 series of turret trucks,” said Chad Munger, product line manager at MCFA. “This new series is a key example of Jungheinrich’s commitment to designing technologically-advanced products for North America.”

Advanced technology, as well as increased energy efficiency and productivity, were key components to the new EFX 410/413 turret truck design.

  • New Technology: The EFX 410/413 series of turret trucks has the flexibility to be equipped with Jungheinrich’s optional Warehouse Navigation System, which features RFID technology to control guided Jungheinrich lift trucks within the aisles of a warehouse. The warehouse management system also offers enhanced process security and Wi-Fi utilization to ensure correct product storage.

  • Improved Efficiency: This narrow-aisle sit-down truck increases efficiency by allowing operators to work on both sides of the aisle, giving them full-pallet deposit and retrieval abilities. The optional RFID technology stores product location and distance generating to determine the best combination of driving and lifting to reach a pallet position in the most direct way possible. This semi-automatic approach guides the operator to the shortest route, increasing throughput rates by up to 25 percent.

  • Enhanced Productivity: The EFX 410/413 turret trucks feature the latest generation of Jungheinrich’s 3-phase AC drive technology, which provides increased performance with low energy consumption. Regenerative braking and lowering allows reclaimed energy to return to the battery, reducing the amount of downtime needed for charging. The inclusion of the RFID technology, as an option, also provides an increase in productivity, allowing operators to seamlessly control the narrow-aisle lift truck, while making it easy to tailor the turret truck’s functionality to the specific warehouse conditions.
