SDI acquires Tech Conveyor

SDI (Booth S3946), a leading provider of materials handling systems and technology solutions to the retail, wholesale, fulfillment and e-Commerce industries, has acquired Tech Conveyor.

SDI (Booth S3946), a leading provider of materials handling systems and technology solutions to the retail, wholesale, fulfillment and e-Commerce industries, has acquired Tech Conveyor of Phillipsburg, N.J. This acquisition includes all of Tech Conveyor’s products and engineering solutions– expanding SDI’s material handling and order fulfillment platform even more and adding a Tilt Tray solution with auto-induct features. This will complement SDI’s unit sortation materials handling solutions and services.

This distinctive product combined with SDI’s design and engineering services and already broad range of products provides advanced capabilities for retailers to efficiently distribute product to their retail stores, and for retailers and distributors to fill and ship orders to their B2B or B2C customers.

“This acquisition further demonstrates our commitment to invest in our business and offer our customers a wide range of products that cater to our customers’ specific requirements,” Krish Nathan, CEO of SDI, said. “When combined with our existing software and unit sortation solutions, these additional capabilities provide customers with a complete end-to-end solution for optimizing distribution operations.”

Nathan explained that SDI is excited about a smooth transition.

“We look forward to welcoming the current Tech Conveyor customers to the SDI family and we are committed to providing them with best-in-class systems and support,” Nathan said. “SDI’s independent approach, strong financial position, and broad resource pool provides these customers with additional security that the systems in which they have invested, will continue to be supported and enhanced.”

Tech Conveyor’s associates will be incorporating themselves into the SDI team and will continue to provide its customers with resources, services and any support that they may need.
