Robocom Systems acquires Cambar Solutions

The conclusion of the transaction marks Robocom’s second acquisition of supply chain execution software companies in less than four years.


Robocom Systems International announced today the successful acquisition of Cambar Solutions based in Charleston,  South Carolina. The conclusion of the transaction marks Robocom’s second acquisition of supply chain execution software companies in less than four years.

“The past two years of the worst economic recession in decades have been a challenge, but Robocom has come through this period in solid operational and financial condition,” said Robocom CEO, Jon Scheumann.” “This acquisition is a reflection of the strength of the Robocom Team and our ability to deliver superior supply chain execution solutions to our customers. We believe that Robocom is well positioned for continued growth,” Scheumann added.

The combined companies will operate as Robocom Systems International and will maintain an office in Charleston SC.

Fred Radcliffe, President of Robocom said “Cambar’s domain expertise in Order Management and the distribution industry will be terrific additions to the Robocom Team.” “Cambar’s strong products will allow Robocom to expand its product offering,” said Radcliffe.

Rick Register, who will join Robocom as Vice President added that “We believe Robocom’s labor management, voice directed technology and transportation solutions will be of great value to the Cambar customers.” “This is a terrific step forward for both companies as well as the Robocom and Cambar customers,” said Register.

“Robocom is focused on enabling excellence in our customers’ supply chain execution” said Fred Radcliffe. “We clearly understand the challenges facing the leaders responsible for the day-to-day results in warehousing and distribution center operations. Adding the Cambar Team and products to Robocom will result in stronger solutions and deeper expertise for our customers.”
