Peak-Ryzex launches PrintPaaS

Peak-Ryzex (Booth 3488) has launched a new print-as-a-service solution. PrintPaaS allows customers to upgrade aging bar code printers and bundle the new equipment with labels, on-site service and labeling software for a monthly fee.

According to Tim Wills, VP of marketing, PrintPaas has been well received by show attendees. The solution addresses a specific business need for supply chain and distribution, namely the need to upgrade bar code printers combined with low capital expenditure budget dollars available to upgrade such printers.

“The PrintPaaS offering allows a customer to acquire the new bar code printers with all of the labels and services they need to keep their operation running efficiently,” said Wills, “all while covering these purchases as part of a fixed-fee operating expense.” He said his company has been able to develop solutions that provide new bar code printers for a comparable operating expense to what a company was previously paying for ongoing label and repair expenses.
