Renowned founder of the Papa John’s empire, Schnatter embodies the word entrepreneur, having started the successful pizza chain out of the broom closet of his father’s tavern in 1984. Less than 30 years later, Schnatter’s acute business acumen has turned Papa John’s into one of the most successful pizza chains in the world, with more than 4,400 restaurants in 36 countries.
During his keynote, Schnatter will share his story from start-up to today and what he’s learned along the way. Thompson will then share with attendees the challenges and successes of managing a high-growth company.
“Papa John’s is a true business success story, building a successful growth company from scratch into the formidable conglomerate we know today,” said Eddie Capel, president and chief executive officer, Manhattan Associates. “The insights from John will provide exceptional value for Momentum 2014 attendees, as they understand the challenges of making a business thrive in today’s economy and the importance of utilizing innovative technology to effectively move products through the supply chain.”
Papa John’s uses a comprehensive package of Manhattan Associates’ supply chain solutions. Additionally, Papa John’s employed Manhattan Associates’ Supply Chain Process Platform, creating a central information repository that provides consistent, standardized data and performance metrics that can be shared by Papa John’s entire supply chain. Since implementation of Manhattan Associates’ solutions, Papa John’s has improved overall visibility, reduced outside storage costs and inventory levels, improved distribution center efficiencies and transportation utilization, and reduced mileage and labor costs.
