E2open, a leading provider of strategic, cloud-based solutions for collaborative execution across global trading networks, today announced that HP has selected the E2open Business Network as one of the platforms for consolidated global procurement. The cloud-based platform will be used across all major HP product lines.
“The E2open platform will allow us to achieve greater centralized procurement process efficiencies and help our suppliers reduce lead times and inventory, thus enabling a lower cost to serve,” said Tony Prophet, Senior Vice President of Operations for HP.
E2open enables collaboration across purchase orders, sales orders, inventory, and returns for both vendor-managed inventory (VMI) and HP-owned inventory. By selecting E2open, HP will be able to flexibly manage multiple methods of inventory management.
“When we learned that the majority of our trading partners were already active on E2open’s Business Network, the decision became much easier,” said Pervinder Johar, Vice President of Global Supply Chain Systems for HP. “We plan to use E2open’s bi-directional, cloud-based platform so we can connect and collaborate with our partners in real time.”
“We are very excited to be working with HP, enabling their supply chain transformation to the cloud,” said Mark Woodward, President and CEO of E2open. “By providing a single source of truth, HP and its trading partners will be able to analyze real-time data across multiple tiers of the supply chain and make better decisions based on better information.”
More than 34,000 trading partners, with over 105,000 unique registered users, currently participate in the E2open Business Network, which allows participants to access and share data and execute business processes in a secure, real-time manner. The E2open Business Network also provides collaboration tools and analytics so that E2open customers can make more informed and efficient decisions.
