Gorbel Expands Offerings in their Tether Track™ Fall Arrest Line

According to 2009 data compiled from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, 605 workers were killed, and an estimated 212,760 were seriously injured by falls to the same or lower level.

Fall injuries constitute a considerable financial burden, as well. For example, Workers’ Compensation and medical costs associated with occupational fall incidents have been estimated at approximately $70 billion annually in the United States.

Sobering stuff.  At Gorbel, we take fall protection seriously, which is why we’ve been working hard to expand our standard Tether Track™ Rigid Rail Fall Protection product line.  Today we’re rolling out 2 new standard Fall Arrest products: a Fold Away system and a Swing Arm system.

These products join our existing Tether Track™ Bridge Systems and Ceiling Mounted Monorail Systems, and even more standard fall arrest products will be offered by the end of the year.

We also have a new Fall Protection toolkit that you can download for free. This toolkit covers the basics of fall protection, including tips for creating your fall protection plan, OSHA and ANSI requirements, and even a fall hazard assessment you can use for your facility.
