E2Open Acquires Transportation Management Systems Provider Cloud Logistics

Cloud Logistics brings same-day, rapid-deployment transportation and logistics management to E2open’s industry-leading business network.

E2Open Acquisition of Cloud Logistics

E2open, the one place in the cloud to run your supply chain, has announced the acquisition of Cloud Logistics, a leading innovator of transportation management systems (TMS) for the global supply chain market.

E2open with Cloud Logistics will offer a unified supply chain platform, providing visibility, collaboration, planning and execution for an extensive network of global trading partners.

“Cloud Logistics has set a new standard in transportation management with their innovative technology and rapid deployments. The combination of this technology with the logistics ecosystem on E2open’s network will further accelerate time-to-value for our customers,” said Michael Farlekas, chief executive officer of E2open.

“Combining transportation management with E2open’s leading demand sensing and business planning closes the loop between planning and execution. These applications running on a live end-to-end global business network allows us to continue to drive supply chain convergence for our customers – between data and algorithms, planning and execution, demand and supply, manufacturing and distribution.”

Cloud Logistics Recognized by Gartner

Cloud Logistics has been recognized by Gartner, Inc. in the March 2018 Magic Quadrant for Transportation Management Systems.

Cloud Logistics also received an Overall Rating of 4.8 out of 5 in the Transportation Management Systems market, on Gartner’s Peer Review Insights, based on 6 reviews.* With TMS Made Easy® featuring up to same-day deployment, Cloud Logistics delivers the fastest implementations and onboarding in the industry.

Features like an intuitive user experience, customizable alerts, a mobile application designed specifically for drivers, and social technology have all driven adoption across a large range of enterprises.

The acquisition builds upon E2open’s existing logistics solutions which have been extending third-party TMS applications across E2open’s network, improving visibility into material moves, assessing the impact on sources and destinations and alerting all relevant stakeholders in the multi-party processes.

Combining E2open’s Transportation Forecasting with Cloud Logistics’ Transportation Management

The combination of E2open’s transportation forecasting with Cloud Logistics’ transportation management also creates a unique opportunity to better assess, procure, and manage transportation capacity. E2open shall continue to use the Cloud Logistics brand.
