Daifuku, Wynright demo automated, integrated handling solutions

In a press conference on Monday, Daifuku North America and its subsidiary Wynright (Booth 1013) offered a tour of a multiple integrated product solutions engineered to drive process improvements throughout manufacturing and supply chain operations.

Wynright’s robotic de-palletizer uses 3D vision-sensing technology to de-palletize mixed cases from a Jervis B. Webb SmartCart automatic guided cart (AGC). The AGC follows magnetic tape to travel to Wynright’s new, energy-efficient Green Line conveyor for reloading.

“Advanced 3D vision perception is a key element of our systems, helping solve many of the most challenging tasks in a materials handling environment,” said Sarah Carlson, marketing director, Daifuku North America. “Automation continues to expand as warehouse operators seek efficiencies and try to accommodate burgeoning workloads.”  

Besides the AGC, Daifuku North America is showcasing its robust System Automation Manager (SAM) control system for AGVs and AGCs that manages the movement of all vehicles and provides comprehensive reports.
