CSCMP’s Hall of Fame

The formal creation and induction ceremony for the Hall of Fame will be conducted at CSCMP’s Annual Conference, currently underway in Orlando, Florida.

The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) announced the creation of the Supply Chain Hall of Fame, honoring individuals and groups that have made outstanding contributions to the supply chain discipline.

“Our organization represents thousands of supply chain professionals across the world. The creation of the Supply Chain Hall of Fame allows us to recognize those who have been at the forefront of this growing and evolving discipline, and to look towards those who will continue to shape it in the future,” said Rick Blasgen, CSCMP president and chief executive officer.

Blasgen also announced the formal creation and induction ceremony for the Hall of Fame will be conducted at CSCMP’s Annual Conference, currently underway in Orlando, Florida.

The initial class of inductees that will be welcomed into the Hall of Fame include: JB Hunt, founder of JB Hunt Transport Services Inc.; Henry Ford, founder of Ford Motor Company; and Malcom McLean, developer of the modern intermodal shipping container. Inductees were chosen for their thought leadership, creation or advancement of innovative technologies, and overall contributions to supply chain management.

“The 2016 inductees into the CSCMP Supply Chain Hall of Fame represent the pinnacle of innovation and industry leadership,” said Kevin Smith, chairman of CSCMP’s Board of Directors. “We are incredibly proud of the advancements brought forth by these distinguished individuals.”

“We congratulate these three visionaries for their pioneering developments that have dramatically shaped not just the supply chain discipline, but the world as we know it today. We look forward to recognizing our Supply Chain Hall of Fame class of 2016 at CSCMP’s Annual Conference,” said Blasgen.

According to organizers, CSCMP’s Annual Conference is the largest of its kind for the supply chain management profession.

This year’s event will feature over 30 hours of educational content, 25 hours of dedicated networking with leading professionals, and the highest caliber attendee profile in supply chain.
