Composite pallet from RM2 has new gel coating

Although RM2 USA’s (Booth 1316) BLOCKPal pallets already had a high coefficient of friction, they’ve been further enhanced with a new gel coat finish.

Although RM2 USA’s (Booth 1316) BLOCKPal pallets already had a high coefficient of friction, they’ve been further enhanced with a new gel coat finish.

“It’s a slick-looking pallet,” said David Kalan, senior director of business development, “and to look at it, it looks slippery. The new finish gives users added assurance that the pallet will keep loads secure as well as not slide off forklift tines.”

Additionally, the coated pallet has been tested extensively in freezer applications, with its performance exceeding expectations, Kalan added.

Reusable and returnable, the pallets come in a variety of sizes. It offers a high strength-to-weight ratio that enables it to accommodate ultra-heavy loads, he said. “They are made of a composite fiberglass and resin material that is stronger than steel. The 48 x 40-inch model handles racking loads of 6,500 pounds, static loads of 60,000 pounds, and dynamic loads at 9,800 pounds.”

Modex 2016 is scheduled to be held April 4-7, 2016 in Atlanta’s Georgia World Conference Center. The tradeshow will showcase the latest manufacturing, distribution and supply chain solutions in the material handling and logistics industry. Modern’s complete Modex coverage.
